Okay, not really High Voltage, but I wanted to know what level of danger players are comfortable with. I recently had an idea for something I thought would be really interesting: a mandated "Kitchen Sink" exploration of The Fault. I'm fairly confident in my ability to make this a fun event, but if you read the 947 article, you'll understand why I'm leery of running it. It'd be a slaughterhouse. An extremely canny group of players might be able to escape unscathed, but the odds are so low it's laughable. The entire group would be in an environment that was out to get them in every sense of the word. My GM-sense for outright butchery clashed with the tiny amount of conscience left in me.
We say it's 'consensual RP', and I don't get my jollies off of killing characters (<— this is a lie), but at some point, the fact that all characters work in astoundingly dangerous environments has to come into play. What level are you comfortable with?
