If our Skills List failed to cover a niche your character needs to have dice in to play, please, by all means, post a request for an addition in this thread!
Shooting a bow and shooting a gun take different skillsets— a bow is not nearly as "point and shoot" as a pistol. Not that I'm actually going to take Archery, but I still think it should be an option.
Dude, why? Keep setting in mind, here. This is a modern setting primarily urban fantasy scifi-horror bit, not a medieval piece. No one's gonna need to use a bow. Why clutter the listing? If someone wants a bow as a character eccentricity, let it enable their gun skill instead of changing the rules to pander pointlessly to an unnecissary oddity.
Need a bow? No. But if, say, someone wants to roll up a stealthy type who primarily uses a bow and arrows, who stop them? Besides, even though the bow is a medieval weapon, it can be (and has been) adapted to the 21st Century.
If it's a question of cluttering up the list, how about this: any weapon that doesn't fall into any of the basic five categories (heavy, gun, melee, thrown, or unarmed) goes into an Exotic Weapon category. Exotic Weapon categories could include bows, siege weaponry, and ninjitsu weaponry (or wherever e.g. nunchaku would fall), and each Exotic Weapon category would have to be purchased separately. Dammit, if someone wants to be able to shoot a catapult, they should be able to!
Which raises a new question. If a new skill is added to the list, will players who did not have the opportunity to add it at creation be allowed to redistribute skill points to add it to their established character?
